Position Overview:
Quest Health Clinic is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Social Workers to join our team as Clinical Mental Health Workers. This role involves working directly within Indigenous communities, providing essential mental health services. In addition to community-based work, the role requires facilitating a monthly group session in Winnipeg.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical mental health support to individuals and families in Indigenous communities.
- Facilitate group sessions focused on mental health and wellness.
- Collaborate with community members and leaders to deliver culturally informed care.
- Travel to Indigenous communities regularly to offer consistent mental health services.
- Participate in a monthly group session in Winnipeg.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Social Worker (RSW) in good standing.
- Experience or strong interest in working with Indigenous communities.
- Background in clinical mental health and community services
- Ability to provide culturally safe and trauma-informed care.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Specialized Training Opportunities Quest Health Clinic Will Provide:
- Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Substance Use: Master evidence-based techniques of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy specifically designed to tackle substance use issues prevalent in Indigenous communities.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Groups: Develop proficiency in the principles and practices of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, empowering individuals to manage emotions and relationships effectively.
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Groups: Gain expertise in Cognitive Processing Therapy, a proven method for addressing trauma-related symptoms and promoting healing.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): Learn the transformative techniques of EMDR therapy, facilitating the processing and resolution of traumatic experiences.

Responsibilities:
The Community Health Nurse will focus on patient-centred care and preventive initiatives to improve community well-being.
Maternal and Child Health
- Provide comprehensive prenatal care, newborn assessments, and postpartum support.
- Ensure timely immunizations and developmental screenings for children.
- Refer families to additional resources or specialists as needed.
Youth Engagement & Violence Prevention
- Develop trusting relationships with children to ensure continuity of care.
- Facilitate school-based education on violence prevention, self-esteem, and sexual health.
- Partner with mental health professionals and social services to support at-risk youth.
Community Collaboration
- Lead community-wide health promotion events and workshops.
- Address social determinants of health by collaborating with housing, education, and recreation sectors.

Leadership & Advocacy
- Work with the Nurse Practitioner, doctors, and team members to ensure seamless care.
- Mentor staff to improve overall capacity and effectiveness.
Requirements:
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN). Public or Community Health Nursing Certification is an asset.
- Active CRNM registration.
Experience
- 5-10 years in community or public health nursing, focusing on maternal and child health.
- Experience in northern or remote communities (preferred).
- Proven leadership in health promotion and community engagement.
Skills

Quest Health Clinic is seeking a compassionate and adaptable nurse (RN, LPN, or RPN) to join our Northern Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT) Program. This role involves travelling to remote communities in Manitoba and working closely with our OAT physician to deliver patient-centred care and support. Position Details:
- Location: Remote northern communities in Manitoba
- Duration per Trip: 3-6 days (flexible scheduling)
- Employment Type: Casual – sign up for weeks you are available
Role Overview:
The Casual Nurse will travel with our OAT physician to deliver high-quality care and support to individuals undergoing opioid addiction treatment. This position emphasizes empathy, cultural sensitivity, and teamwork to promote healing and recovery within northern communities.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties
- Administer Suboxone and Sublocade injections.
- Perform and document COWS (Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale) exams.
- Assist in medication management, including inventory and secure storage.
- Transport and organize medical supplies.
Patient Care
- Conduct intake histories and focused assessments.
- Provide education on contraception and sexual health options.
- Offer emotional support to patients during treatment.
Community Engagement:
- Act as a point of contact for patients and community members.
- Support outreach efforts, including presentations to local groups.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain and organize patient charts.
- Collaborate on travel and accommodation arrangements for the team.
Flexibility:
- Be available for occasional after-hours patient needs during trips.

Qualifications
- Active nursing license (BNRN, LPN, or RPN) in Manitoba.
